Samantha Dowse

Sam gets stuff done. It’s no wonder, though. Using her wide array of skills and experience in district policy and planning, urban growth strategy, monitoring, and consenting, she works incredibly hard to achieve great outcomes for her clients.

We were delighted when she joined us this year as a Senior Planner. She brings a sharp eye for detail and that rare ability to make complex simple - especially those planning processes that can make even the toughest cry. Her specialty areas are reviewing, preparing and processing district plan changes and resource consents.

She has a Bachelor of Resource and Environmental Planning from Massey University. She’s worked for local government and large consultancy, including the Palmerston North City Council and WSP.

Outside of planning, Sam is the partner to a cactus enthusiast, a mum to two beautiful children, and head dog wrangler to the most affectionate Golden Retriever on the planet. No kidding. She’s a master handyperson, too. In her spare time, she unleashes her creativity, restoring mid-century modern furniture and renovating her home.
