Dave helps iwi and hapū develop innovative and future-focussed policy and legislation so they can better influence decision making to support mana whenua and mana moana. Dave's diplomacy, hui facilitation, and relationship management skills are second to none: they come straight from the heart and years of experience. He champions environmental restoration as a critical component to achieve the sustainable management of our natural resources and taonga.
Dave was recently appointed to the Conservation Board where he's working on making sure conservation management strategies incorporate Treaty Settlement outcomes. He has a Bachelor of Iwi Environmental Management from Te Wānanga o Aotearoa and has 12 years’ experience with:
